Yes, I Bought more...of Course!

Good morning fellow "Seamstress"!
Where and when, in the world, did the word seamstress get changed to Sewist?  Who came up with that word??  Makes me feel like they are embarrassed of the word seamstress...anyway, I hate the word Sewist...dumb...and you won't catch me using it.  If Seamstress was good enough for my mom and grandmothers, it's good enough for me!

Traveled south to a fabric store in Rosebud, Tx.
Found these delicious fabrics!  I have made family and friends quilts but this one is mine!  But, I'm still knocking out quilts for those family and friends so It'll be a while before I can get to it.

I also found these pretty (to me) charm packs, so I purchased 5 of each...lol...yes, I did too!

I'll probably make my quilt with these patterns.  I see you looking at my mistakes! lol  That last row?  What was I doing?!!

Hubby Larry was with me so after I left the fabric store, we headed towards home and a cafe we like, for lunch.  Their onion rings are a meal within themselves!  Wonderful!
Well, I suppose that's all from me, for today.
Hope you are happy and safe and busy at that sewing machine!
Until next time...

Happy Thanksgiving...and Mostly, Quilts Only

                                            Happy Thanksgiving!

I have made our lunch, made up of a stuffing, turkey, cranberry jelly and gravy.   It actually turned out great!  I can see this at Christmas, as well. We celebrated the day alone...the kids just had too many things on their plates.  So, we'll all get together at Christmas time.

The casserole...so good!

Then finished up with pumpkin pie!

Below are some of the blocks I've been playing around with for our granddaughter Samantha's quilt.

I'm sorry but I think this is an ugly block!
This is the "quilt of the month" for my quilt club, in town.  I've made a block from what I could understand of the instructions...it doesn't look like theirs! lol...oh well!
I think my corners needed to be flipped...?

These are AI fabrics photo... that granddaughter Samantha wants for a baby quilt that will be a gift.  She wants the gingham on top with the other one on bottom...

Here's the real ones...the gingham is really thin...

She wants me to duplicate one like this...which was obviously sold by a larger company with commercial machines.
Oh well...what I lack in experience...I excel in confidence...Lolol
Below are blocks that I've been playing around with...learning to do them.  Points are not easy!

Well, I guess that's it for me today.  Hope you all are having a wonderful day!
So, until next time...

First Post about My Quilting Journey

Good morning, Friends!  I thought I'd create a new blog just for my quilting.  I know it doesn't really interest some of you like I'm not really interested in peanuts and their shells...just saying.  Lol
So, I'll be posting all my endeavors here...out of the way but here for people really interested in fabric projects.
I finally got my daughter's quilt done and given to her.  She thought it, awesome.
It'll take me awhile to get this blog just the way I want it so be patient with me.  Right now I'm re-learning how to set up a blog...it's been years!
So...Signing off and going to do more research.
Until next time...
